Six Rules That Will Define Our Second Pandemic Winter

The pandemic keeps changing, but these principles can guide your thinking through the seasons to come.

Hard to believe we are going to spend another winter with the pandemic. This is a MUST read! In its entirety.

Paradise Lost: The Rise and Ruin of Couchsurfing.com

The once-utopian accommodations site, now headed by an alum of surveillance-analytics firm Palantir, has gone back on its always-free ethos.

This is a very comprehensive history of the site that has been around for ever. I have never used it because I stay in luxury suites for free hehe. I really learned a lot about how it progressed over the years. It is still around in some form but other platforms have surpassed it. A lot of idealism in the early years but, you know, you can only do something for free until reality hits you in the face.

Anyway, the current ownership is, well, disturbing to put it mildly. Proceed at your own risk.

The Secrets of the World’s Greatest Freediver

With only a single breath, Alexey Molchanov, history’s most daring freediver, is reaching improbable depthsβ€”and discovering a new kind of enlightenment as he conquers one of the world’s wildest sports.

Well, you know, this guy is going to become a lot more popular when 60 Minutes does a segment about his astonishing feats under the water with a single breath. We will all freak out if we held our breath a fraction of the time he does. Some people are just freaks of nature. And he is a really nice guy too. You read this and you learn all about this sport and then when you get to the part about his mother who dove years ago and just never came up to the surface again…Unbelievable! You can actually see the whole dive here.

2nd post this week, yeah, crazy! And I am thinking to do the unthinkable, post another one on Friday! We shall see how this develops. I need to make the posts smaller because, after almost 9 years blogging, I finally figured out that if you take a week between posts traffic goes WAY down…and that is costing me so much $$$ from all the ads I inflict upon you guys. Hahahaha….

After TBB Board meeting it was decided to give Carl the bronze medal…almost disqualified himself but board members are feeling charitable today.

So, still no Chase Business Ink Unlimited card. Messaged Chase yesterday and they said it was mailed on 9/20 and since I did not get it yet, they canceled it and issued a new one and they are expediting it. Hope it gets here tomorrow to pay my insurance bills and earn another 75k.

Keeping it real here, no clickbait shit like OMAAT:

    1. A few years ago we went to the christening of the daughter of a friend in a small village about an hours drive from London.

After the service one of the parents said ‘Did you see Eric Clapton sitting in the back row?’. I honestly had to say the answer was ‘No’.
