You know the end is near when the hobby makes into CNN and we get it all explained with circles and arrows #crying When this dude learned about this hobby my kids had seen most of the world already. Question is: Do I enter this blog straight into the Blogs To Ignore? And then we get FTU and expertise in the same sentence! And a few bloggers I like get their 15 seconds of fame. And then you wonder why this hobby is going to hell? We also get mention of Million Mile Secrets with…travel hacking secrets so secret they require an own session…Stab me now, WTF!!! Read it and weep…while the person running the retail division retires with $125 million and praise from the CEO who appears totally unhinged from reality. Phuck, was it just 2008 that we went over this shit and bailed out these assholes? Starting to get angry. THIS is what sales INCENTIVES DO people…I mean, look around our hobby that has been sold out to sleazy salesmen pumping credit cards to unsuspecting readers who think they do it all because they are nice…Serenity now, serenity now…What’s your favorite? Richard Quest, in the times I heard his ad on the TV, sounded very much like Thomas Friedman: a stupid person’s idea of what a smart person sounds like. (I’ve also read this phrase about Dr. Newt Gingrich, PhD.)
his bombastic style and accent drive me…insane. I have to mute it whenever I see him on TV.

GC -> MO -> bank, the only easy method left mentioned boldly for CNN. There is a phrase Chopping a branch you’re sitting on. With L3 data the GC pattern can easily be reconstructed for anybody generating a computer algorithm alert and next there is a review. Didn’t AMEX use this method in the recent 100k platinum action? Every Walmart manager will know about the pattern. Well we know consumer confidence is at 12 month high. Jobs are rolling in and personal incomes increased. It will not be as long before the next recession or a bigger correction shows up, several years as of now at the max. Those without cash and with credit cards balances will suffer if they believed in illusions. I found a CSR add picture with all those young happy shining people with CSR cards (spending on experiences as designed by Chase). Once jobs are gone temporarily, money spent on luxury experiences will be gone quickly and forever and Chase will have to look into new customers and hopefully a new cycle of offers coupled with changed rules will provide new best opportunities for those slow and steady. In the meantime, CC selling will grow to levels never seen in the past.
The US is the only country that this rampant cc promotions (good for us who can handle it all of course) goes on and the only country that allows anyone breathing to call themselves an expert and start selling credit cards to the masses with no qualifications whatsoever!
You are right about the recession…amazing we have not had one for so long….When it comes, I hope 5/24 goes…away!
