I am on Twitter. Like a lot! And on Feedly too! So I learn stuff as they happen. Temperature was almost 80 degrees in Ann Arbor yesterday. Got hit with extreme spring fever and goofed around a lot. Started to doubt global warming πŸ™‚

Starting today, posts here are going to be shorter. I need to start justifying my time spent on TBB and the revenue this site brings. I think it’s about time πŸ™‚

And the beatings continue. American Airlines did proceed with cutting mileage earning when you fly British Airways and Iberia. Shoes.keep.dropping.Brace.Yourselves.Or.Buuuuuuurn!

What it’s like to live in Iran. Wonderful post at AFAR from an Iranian American who recently moved back to Iran and tells us what is like through her Instagram account at @storiesofiran which is absolutely fascinating.

In the Belly of Byzantium: The Subterranean Spaces of Istanbul. Another great post by The Bohemian Blog. I have been to this place and my pics totally suck in comparison!

Egypt with no tourists…Eerie

When they went to the Saqqara pyramids on the edge of the Cairo region, they found they were the only people there. Besides feeling nervous to be off that far alone, they were also being bothered by locals while they were walking around.

The Gate with Brian Cohen reminds us a historic day in Flyertalk when these two guys, one in Yiron, Israel and the other in Lebanon interacted while the war was raging. Always gracious, with a good sense of humor and a community that was gripped by that thread and finally met each other in South Florida of all places. I can’t believe it has been eight years now, wow!

  1. A higher off on CSP or Ink? Does this mean no 5/24 for a weekend? Now that would be higher. Maybe Chase noticed that keeping out churners slows growth. I’ll go over to VFTW and ask.

Second it seems. But ready to serve if Miss America is unable to complete her reign.

  2. At the bottom of Bohemian Blog’s page is a notice “This blog is bigger than it looks…” Apparently for a small subscription fee you can access more images and content. Has anyone subscribed to this additional content? Is it good? Buzz, with all your affiliate revenue you can afford this additional tax-deductable expense. Just kidding!

    1. “HawaiianMiles aren’t the most valuable travel rewards currency, but they do come in handy”
No they don’t. I have 40k in a lock box. Can’t find a use for them and I have no need for HHonor points.

  3. Thank you for the link to my article, George. As always, I appreciate it.

The article pertaining to Egypt is fairly accurate. I have yet to post many more of my photographs when I was in Egypt earlier this year; and I can attest to the lack of tourists in some areas β€” including the Pyramids. That country is indeed hurting financially.

While there is evidence of tourists in this article of the Sphinx…

…you can see that it was clearly not crowded…

…and please refer to number 2 of this article about the six reasons why you should visit Egypt now:

Please accept my apologies for promoting The Gate with only two of several articles pertaining to Egypt; but I wanted to show that I have already posted a series of articles with plenty of photographs illustrating the point of the Business Insider article β€” and that series is by no means complete, as I intend to post more articles in the future.

Unfortunately, the recent crash of that Russian airplane in the Sinai peninsula of Egypt will not help matters…

  4. Ha! The photo above is BeyFlyer on the left, and everyones favorite Flyertalker (besides TBB), Dov, from Israel.

Psst. He’s been the Brooklyn Tour (BRT).
    E tu TBB?.

  5. How do you pay $1 for Award Wallet every 6 months? I’m trying and it’s not letting me enter anything less than $5…

  6. I say clickbait on today’s headline! Only BA/IB earnings have changed, your headline suggest something else πŸ˜‰

    1. Absolutely, I learn from the best after so much baiting my eyes have seen! Actually, I had that on the title but now I use a site that shows me how Google shows my blog entries and I just start cutting to make the headline fit—–>explanation why my titles are no shorter instead of being ridiculously wrong (and likely more fun) to date πŸ™‚

  7. How the heck am I going to get the extra bonus CSP offers when I just got a CSP a few months ago for the paltry sum of 30K miles ? ? ?

    πŸ™

    1. You mean 40k right?

You need to send a secure message within your Chase account politely saying: ” I recently obtained the CSP card with XX Ultimate Rewards points. Today I saw that the signing bonus has been increased to XX. I would appreciate if you can credit my account with the missing XX points, thank you so much”. It should work. If not, report here and I will send in Chris Elliott.

Ok that last part was a joke lol.
