The only big news of the day was that Hyatt finally is allowing its Gold Passport members to book stays online with Cash & Points. First one out of the gate was again Loyalty Lobby. Then all the pumping bloggers followed up and they all tried to pump every card they can sell except, magically, Hyatt’s own credit card that gives credit cardholders two FREE nights at any Hyatt. Why? Well, you read TBB and you know why…the Hyatt credit card does not pay commissions to these bloggers. And this is why life on earth is not fair and you can be taken advantage of if you are not educated enough. You can ignore this and continue what you are doing which implicitly contributes to the bullshit burying our hobby. Or you can stand up and say something and start voting with your clicks supporting bloggers who put you FIRST. Oh, that felt good…You can see my attacks on Twitter, started getting really angry as I saw so many posts like this #barf. Think about it, you rave about the Hyatt chain and if you read the post you would think it is the only hotel chain without its own loyalty credit card! You bet anything in the galaxy that if the credit card paid dinero they would be all over it, especially if it compensated them more than the big $$ daddy CSP lol #ifyoucare&don’tgetangryareyouarobot?

Playing the probabilities. If I kept track of blogs I love in personal finance, the blog “A Wealth of Common Sense” would be on the top. Amazing run and talent! To top it off, he is a fellow hurting Detroit Lions fan lol.

  1. The best way to stop saying “um” in presentations: when you’re practicing your presentation, have somebody raise their hand (or sound an air horn, or whatever) every time you say “um” or whatever filler word you lean on.

    1. Yes…back in the day when I was in corporate life, we had presentation training (I remember it was at a Four Seasons….never went back since #sosad) and two things stood out: watching yourself in a video and the clapping sound every time one of us trainees said “um”….Very humbling!

  2. “Um equals “university of Michigan”’

A good friend of mine who went to the University of Denver undergrad and law school was asked what his alma mater was.

    He answered “Duuuuuuuh’.

  3. You should post a “top 5-10” blogs you love on personal finance. I, for one would be interested in that.

    1. This is in “that pile” of posts/stuff to do for TBB which I never get to. Just when I am about to do something, I check the clicks and I get…discouraged and then I slap myself and say “screw it, I should work on my real job instead” 🙂

  4. “If this blog goes a whole month with not even ONE plastic click it is clear indication for me to wrap it up…”

Alright already. I clicked on one of your links. I didn’t apply as I only apply from blogs with original content that don’t whine each and everyday about no clicks.

Man up George and just quit. Three years and you are still expecting readers to support you?

    1. “siliconsam”

      Love it.

Thanks for the laugh and the support, mostly taking the time to be so positive. Because if you have nothing positive to say you should just say it

Thanks for the FlexPerks card click…at least it was not the Drury or Carnival card 🙂
