  1. You can do anything here…

End of quarter, need to focus on real work guys.

I am ignoring the Blogs to Ignore…just not enough time to deal with the same old crappy excuses to sell more credit cards. Watch out for the First Friday CSP posts πŸ™‚

Now that Greece is out of the World Cup we have one team to cheer for:

    USA USA USA
I believe that we will win!

  2. Oh dear, a top ten with links…
Atleast it’s not specific to a month πŸ˜‰

  3. George-

Was it a friend who recently asked you about finance books? See having it be a friend is a big plus-it implies you would not have listed these links on your own, and it also suggests that we are all your friends.

Better up your game, son, or Amazon will re-think that link.

    Welcom back.

    1. No friends involved even though I realize it sounds better when you sell πŸ™‚

I was asked by that other tabloid like journal about these and I just sent the list over to them so then….I had this brilliant idea to….cut and paste and voila!

Actually it took me a few hours to learn how to insert those links, not as intuitive as I originally thought or I am just slow lol.

Been out of power since 2 am, currently surfing out of local coffee shops and going to Buffalo Wings for the soccer games….will be tough to do a Buzz post tomorrow!

  4. I’m sitting in AF lounge at CDG right now after 4 night stay at Park Hyatt Vendome. It is a very nice hotel but way over hyped by our favorite bloggers.

    1. There is a good bit of hype. I just stayed three nights in the Park Hyatt Tokyo in a suite. Stayed with the old 33,000 points per night redemption. I am not sure it was worth 99,000 points. I enjoyed the Hyatt Regency Kyoto much more and they upgraded my regular room on points to a suite with no additional points. (I am a Diamond). I also loved the Hyatt Resort and Spa in Hakone. Had a standard room there which was amazing. Too bad Mt. Fuji wasn’t in view. I got one of those first class miles redemptions from DFW to CDG on AA and you can bet I won’t be staying at Park Hyatt Vendome. For one I am out of points, but the problem with these very expensive hotels is that everything else is so expensive. Sure glad I got the free breakfast each morning. Don’t get me wrong, I loved hanging out in the New York Grill atop the Park Hyatt in Tokyo, but it comes with a cost!

      1. It was a fantastic deal when it was 22K/nt, they gave free breakfast for your first stay there (no status required), and no other cheaper Hyatt options existed. Now, not so much.

  5. If only stay at Hyatts the Vendome is awesome πŸ˜‰

Yep, George, you have to throw in a reader question or add that your clients read those books to earn their millions!

    1. Shoot….I wanted to add something like “Reading these books will make you a millionaire…I guarantee it” or something like that…

Should be an epic battle against the French, can’t wait. I am still shocked the Algerians played so well!

  6. Great post, thank you. I wanted to hear from you why these didn’t make the list.

I am kind of surprised that these two didn’t make the cut:
The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham
The Margin of Safety by Seth A. Klarman

    1. I had to cut many from the list….just like “travel” bloggers cut so many credit cards that do not pay them lol.

Graham’s book is of course awesome but may be too technical imho.
Seth’s book is also great but did not make the cut…as did other worthy ones.

To the reader who bought a humidifier using my Amazon link I am going to Buffalo Wings to watch the soccer games and will have a drink or two for you, thank you!

      1. You actually get to see what we buy using your link?
I’ll probably use Dan’s link for my sex toys.

        1. I get to see product ordered, no tracing at all!

I checked that one because it was the most expensive product ever bought here. I drank my sorrow at Buffalo Wild Wings with the $$ it earned me, thank you.

Regarding the sex toys….aha! So that is you then πŸ˜‰

  7. Books are a waste of time

I’ll stick to the personal finance digestion I can get at Saverocity

    1. Do it for your loved ones. Get them these books for Christmas, they will be smarter guaranteed.

They are not Certified over there at Saverocity so don’t believe what they write about personal finance lol.

    1. Time for a new tablet. This one keeps dropping letters the the ‘e’ in none

  8. You left off “The Ramsey Affect” by C. Ramsey…………What is the Ramsey affect you ask, it is a sure fire, 100% proven accurate method for buying stocks! How does “The Ramsey Affect” work, you ask. Simple, whatever stock I sell, no matter how long I have suffered with it…whenever I sell it, you should buy it! It’s gonna go straight up immediately. Can you I tell you what stock The Ramsey Effect indicates is a buy, yea sure. I just sold GE this week after having this dog in my margin account since 1983. Buy Buy Buy…………………..The Wealthy Barber, good way to introduce kids and novices (broads) to the financial world.

    1. TBB is not a stock picker. Did I tell you the story about my first stock…It’s out there πŸ˜‰

I am exhausted and need to get some sleep. Darn storm last night, knocked out power for 15 hours, totally messed up my routines!

  9. How about compiling a favorites list from
The PBS archives including the 4 part series “ascent of money”?
(For us who watch better than read)?

    Thanks,

    John

    1. Sorry I do not have the time to watch all of them. Actually I do not watch TV other than a sports event (soccer or NFL or NBA), 60 Minutes and SNL πŸ™‚
