Well, the big news of the day, out of the blue, was, well, that Qatar is just phucked, there is no other way to put it. We never saw this coming. I guess the Saudis got permission to bully from mega bully Trump to do this. There are some giant geo political games being played behind the scenes. if this stands, we will have a huge humanitarian emergency. Pray for Qatar!

I am giving up on getting the Hyatt Centric Fisherman’s Warf in San Francisco for the last 2 (of 13) nights (for free, come on!) in our upcoming vacation in San Francisco. The one night must be sold out big time, I have been checking every day, nada! Is the Grand Hyatt on Stockton Street pretty decent?
Last year the Warriors were up 2-0. And we know what happened. Do you think the Cavs can get back in?

If it comes down to where people are suffering due to not having basic necessities (assuming it gets to that point in Qatar), I’m not concerned with their laws or their cultural beliefs…it sucks anytime kids go hungry and that kind of thing. When it comes to food, water, medicine, or other basic life needs it’s not like we should only feel bad for, or help, them if they “deserve” it or if their values and beliefs match ours.
If their Values dont match yours? Values like treating women as equals or not killing gay people for being gay? I think its a little bigger than “values”

Hyatt Regency in SF, has a beautiful lobby in the sense it was built ages ago but still holds its own. However, it does look like they may have removed/changed one of the light installations so it could be different than the last time I was there. With your Baller status at Hyatt, you can probably talk your way into a view room with a balcony.
I may have missed it but I think you said you were doing a long car rental, have you added up parking cost alone for this rental?
The plan is to pick up the rental car AFTER the fourth night in San Francisco, heading to Sunnyvale and then keeping it for excursions from that location (Berkeley, Monterrey booked so far). No car needed in the city.
Baller status lol. I am no Globalist. But staying at the Carmel Highland as a Globalist Guest. Not sure I am going to do this for the 2 nights in SF I have not booked yet, one of them is the Visa night. Will likely grab the GH in the next week or so. I just wanted to try that Hyatt Centric. I could do both a night each but that will mean 4 different hotels for 4 nights in total…that’s just a little too much moving around, even for me.
GH and Regency in SF are both cat 5 free night doesn’t work. The Regency is the nicer of those two choices.

Hyatt is not known for their IT department so it could be a glitch.
The Tonga room is just one of those Iconic SF places, you know the ones overpriced and worth almost every penny. If someone is already staying at the Fairmont, missing it would be akin to going to Pier 39 and skipping the sea lions because they are all the way at the end of the pier.

When I look at websites where I see how much work the authors obviously put into it at one point, only to slowly let it go to weeds as they lost interest, well….it’s just so sad. This hobby has so many such sites…reminds me of those images of old planes sitting in a desert somewhere….
I think they are working hard at it, it is happening…
I think they keep the domain alive. Because the cost is minimal.
