Taking Saturdays off here…I am starting to like it! May this decision stick for a change lol. But, oh man, my blog’s Alexa ranking numbers are suffering so much woohoo!

Let’s start off with a complete guide to transferring hotel points to airline miles.

This is a post about doing a Lasik surgery. As I have thought about it in the past, I enjoyed it. And, yet again, I am sticking with my eye contacts. I would rather read something like this than a 56,985th review of yet another flight/seat/suite/room/lounge!

There are players in this hobby and then there are individuals like this Tahsir kid. DO NOT attempt to do what he does, I repeat, DO NOT attempt to imitate because.you.just.can’t!ย  The latest “thing” is an experience having one of his cars stolen using Turo (which is the first time I heard of this…ok, I lied, I heard of it before and thought it was a touring related company or something!).

10 most inspiring travel photos of last week at Matador Network. Never fails me to go… Wow!

11 Worst things you are doing at the airport. Lame blogger question? “Which one is your favorite?” Or, in this case, “which one is your favorite worst?” Mine is #8, makes me soooo angrwy! ๐Ÿ™‚

The most dangerous hotel in the world? Welcome to the Frying Pan Hotel. Say hello to sharks and hurricanes. Oh, and you can get there only by helicopter. Or boat if you are brave enough. How come no one does a hotel review here and instead shove them Hyatt reviews down our throats huh?

Here is a PSA: The strange life of Q-Tips…Don’t buy them!

Why does pessimism sound so smart? Your personal finance dose of wisdom. We only bring you the best! This is an eclectic journey through the blogosphere, remember?

  1. Hey, gold can be taken away by anyone at any time if they go for your 40k platinum! But silver is forever…

    1. If anyone goes for the Amex 40k Platinum with my links…I will be so embarrassed I would retire pronto!

Thankfully, the intelligence of my readers is at such a lever this has not happened yet.

P.S. Hoping the troll will apply for it to retire me lol.

  2. I got Lasik a little over 2 years ago. Best. Decision. Ever! Such a pain always bring contacts/solution everywhere (plus, I needed the hydrogen peroxide solution). Granted, my travel style is just a bit different from yours ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. Hey George, what happened to Travel is Free? 2014 & 2015 were really golden period for TIF i guess. I am not seeing the same quality off late. Travel Codex seems to be stealing the show so far in 2016. 2016 seems to be really boring year all across, for this hobby. Fall from the greatness of VRCs when i started in Jan 2014 to writing 94 entries for 47k IHG points in 2 years shows it all. Hmm, anyway, at least i have a nice boss who will keep me entertained till things turn around for good for all of us (I hope). Now back to digging to get my boss out, with my colleague.

    1. I heard Drew had bronchitis or something. Looks like he is not recovered? I agree with your assessment of the situation. I am bored to pieces as well.

I am thinking to just drop this blogging thing and join ya to get the boss out….probably it will pay a HECK of a lot more than my Amazon links….I also hear he has connections and he will hook us up with…well, basically everything we want #sweeeeeeeet #thedream

  4. Tahsir’s antics are just off the charts, and I love to read about them.

Don’t try this at home indeed.
