I am attending a conference in Indianapolis so keeping up with the miles/points blog action is a little bit difficult. Or, hear me out, is it just me you guys? Not much is going on these days other than Office Max 5x deal of them cards? Still going on? Mastercards work at America’s finest store?

Thanks to Ann G. for the message through your husband, it made my day. “Tell George he has been an inspiration for us to get all eight family members to Europe next year on miles & points” #winning. Moments like this make doing this blog worth it.

I almost fell off my chair to hear “travel hacking” in a financial adviser conference yesterday! The Hobby is…here!

PayPal blows imho, beware per Frequent Miler as well.

A Chinese built luxury hotel in the capital of Niger, one of the world’s poorest countries.

Predictions no one ever makes. This dude blogging at A Wealth of Common Sense is just killing it!

Abandoned Soviet spaces from the Cold War era.

This is inside the abandoned Buzludzha monument in the mountains of Bulgaria. Built in 1974, the massive statue commemorated socialist communism. The site has been untouched and uncared for since 1989.

Insane crowds in China!

People crowd on a beach in Dalian, Liaoning province, to escape the summer heat.
Beach, standing room only, WTF!

What it’s like to live and work in the most polluted city on earth: Hazaribagh in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

These women have the job of clearing and sorting plastic waste from the river in exchange for a few taka, the local currency.
Before you complain about something…shut the phuck up, thank you!

  1. We need you! Where else do we go for coverage when some @#$#@ publishes an entire hotel chain’s corporate code list, which he also plagarized?

    1. Mr. Forward Cabin has 22k twitter followers. How many of those do you think are fake? As a frame of reference GLeff, one of the most popular bloggers in this space has 16k.

  2. Hi,

I wanted to say something last night but I was too busy drinking…

There are just some things that should not be done…shaking my head.

Now time to learn about robo advisors and the latest tax developments #mindblown

  3. Dia what is a corporate code list, and doesn’t it sound like something I should learn ? Wait I’m guessing I can book hotels at corporate rates with those codes ? Sorry I know it is probably a secret but with everything so cryptic around here, as it should be, This conversation never happened, all right ?

Buzz those pics from China and Bangladesh were kind of a downer. 🙁

Cairo looks lovely but right or wrong I’m have some trepidation about traveling to Egypt at this time. Don’t they have religious extremists running around over there ?

Well I just wanted to post so you would know we are here reading and appreciating your efforts !

    😀

    1. I have written articles about being in Cairo and Egypt, Mike, as I was there five months ago and had no problems. Not once did I feel unsafe…

…so if you are traveling to Cairo, enjoy!

  4. Mike,
The first rule about a corporate code list is not to discuss a corporate code list 🙂

But, yea, you get the gist.
