Challenges in the Card Game  –  Mile Nerd    Speaking of challenges, Mrs. TBB got denied for a USAir card. The surly Barclays Bank rep said it was automatic because the link for the US Elite members was used. Ok, can you get us to the regular one, no problem. Score 820 and change, never been denied, blah blah blah, you know the drill. “Must wait 31 days to reapply”. Anyways, she then even looked and told me how many cards she had…and I could see her phase blasting out “huh you churner, don’t even try it”. So I hung up.  Boy, things have changed…

    1. Is it just me or does that futuristic plane bear a passing resemblance to a Klingon starship?

  1. China is prolly #1 reason why several animal species will go extinct in my lifetime.

Just looking at those photos pisses me off.

Do not eat shark, people! They are vital to the health of the oceans, and therefore our Earth.

Oh, and guess what? No, the shark fins do not provide any “health” benefits sexual or otherwise.

There is absolutely no reason why any of these creatures should be sold as such.

I will never go to China. I’d never make past 10 minutes without slapping someone for their stupidty. (Can’t bring back the rhinos once they’re gone! ARGH!! *sigh* Torn between crying and/or throwing up.)

    #Sad.

    1. I clicked on the link. It’s even worse.

What the hell is with all the mystery meat bins and everyone touching it all? Bacteria, people!

And to think they go and then touch everything else in the store.

I do not have enough Purell for this. The photos alone are enough to cause a panic attack.

Yea, no….going to definitely pass on China. Just no.

    2. …And the Snicker bars came with batteries. BATTERIES. WTF??…..

Snicker bars with batteries. I have no idea what to do with this information.

      1. @icicle, settle down there! I did not mean to cause such reactions, that link was more for entertainment purposes. I enjoyed my visit to Beijing and seeing the Great Wall, just don’t go to a Wal Mart there lol.

“I do not have enough Purell for this” ——–> that had me laughing on the floor!

And I got THE link for you at the next TBB Buzz post (Friday….trying to stick to M,W,F Buzz postings from now on). Hint: it involves Paris and you will love it! #hint2—>video

  2. Oh….and in other aviation news…to nobody’s surprise, Malaysia Airlines has announced a restructuring program that will see it emerge as a “new” company on July 1.

  3. As an aerospace engineer, I hope people don’t share that “design” as the future of aviation. Makes no sense even with “future” technologies.

  4. TBB’s Credit Card Tab is here:
    https://travelbloggerbuzzcom.wp1.sh/credit-cards/

Click on the link or banner and here are the best offers:

    PAGE 1:
Capital One Venture® Rewards 40k (triple credit pull beware)
    Chase Sapphire Preferred Card 40k
British Airways Visa 50k (now with no annual fee in first year!)
Discover it® Miles (no bonus? Earns 1.5 miles for every dollar, doubles it after one year for total 3% for no annual fee!)

    PAGE 2:
Starwood SPG Amex 25k (30k may come again later if you would like to wait)
Barclaycard Arrival Plus World Elite Mastercard 40k

Then for BUSINESS CARDS click “Cards For Business” and then on:

    PAGE 4:
Ink Plus® Business Credit Card 50k

Other cards and how you can get to them:

None that I see. What happened to the AA Citibank and Chase Southwest/Hawaiian Airline offers???

For targeted offers to you, try using the CARDMATCH link for TBB! Some people have been receiving 100k (one got a 150k!!!) offers for the Amex Platinum cards, 50k Amex Premier Rewards Gold and 30k Amex Everyday cards. You have nothing to lose, no credit pulls at all!

Click on TBB’s CREDIT CARDS tab above and then click on CARDMATCH which is above the CreditCards.com banner
Or just click on the cc.com link or banner and then click on “Offers Matched for You” on the top left corner

If there are any corrections please comment here and I give permission to TBB to edit this post. Wow, I can not imagine the time it takes to blog almost every day, thanks! The photos at the Wal Marts in China are amazing!

    1. BOP your incessant pumping is worse than the titans.

  5. Why does no-one comment at TPG? The guy gets 10x the unique visitors I get but seems to average a measly 15 comments per post. How can get you 1.5m unique visitors a month but only 0.001 per cent want to say anything?!

I average about 30. I see reports on that MMS gets effectively nil sometimes.

Reader engagement mist surely be proxy for willingness to click card links.

    1. >>>>>>Reader engagement mist surely be proxy for willingness to click card links.

You would think so right? As I keep learning about blogging and doing business online in general and especially our audience I am not so sure.

The key I think, if you are into it for the money, is to do exactly what the blogs in the Ignore list do. Crappy content catering to newbies using mega SEO techniques and relentless pumping of affiliate links. After a while even the dumbest of their readers get it that these blogs just keep finding more and more ways to keep selling cards. But the key is to HIT more newbies that do a search on any travel related term in google, bring them over, impress them with another “look at me in the flat bed and awesome suite in the Maldives and you can do it like me for FREE if u click my links”. they get a few cards, most of them screw up or just give up and never come back…until the next click by victim clicks on the site appearing on the top of another google search and we get the same story. It’s a volume thing. Like the TBB troll said, who cares about comments, “it’s all about conversions”.

To me, it’s fascinating to watch how money changes people and their brains cells get so warped…

      1. The UK is probably behind the curve. You (UK bloggers) haven’t had the opportunity to exploit the system as much.

        1. Because of huge fuel surcharges with BA and Virgin, you need money to ‘play’ here. That is why a site aimed at 30-40 year old business people, which is what I do (and is what I am) works. Man in the street isn’t going to pay $1600 tax for 2 J redemptions, especially given the effort needed to earn the miles.
