ITA Matrix Isn’t Dead Yet! You’re Just Using It Wrong  –  Travel Codex     Fantastic read about one of the travel hacking tools long used and loved by this weird crowd 🙂  I am surprised Google (it bought the company that runs it) has not killed it yet and transferred all the brainpower over to Google Flights which I think it sucks (as many Google products do and then one day they get killed off suddenly….yeah, I am still pissed off they killed Google Reader!)

Another Mistake Fare?! Quick, Upend Your Life!  –  Travel Codex     In Jeopardy, this would be “Daily Double”! These exact thoughts were in my head too…I did not even bother with this one as my phone went off too…When you add the flights to Washington DC and the visa costs and the short duration…excuse moi? Now if I was jobless or single maybe. Or maybe it was not that cheap lol.

Thank you for reading and supporting my blog by clicking my $$ links! The more you do the more motivated I get to keep this baby going #truth because someone cares strong enough to actually DO something to give back!  Me getting blasted about pumping is downright hilarious. For real pumping I refer you to this tweet. I am done bitching here, no time. Twitter is more spontaneous, fits my character. Working on some huge developments in real job so this baby will be dialed down, way down. Making 27 cents per day and getting beat up on Twitter for pumping is ridiculous and, actually, entertaining as I shake my head violently!

And last one from my fat days…

  1. That Chinese restaurant list is B.S……. for Oregon, everyone knows the places to go are HUNG FAR LOW or PHO KING GOOD.

  2. Loved the Germany pics. I really miss going there several times a year. I have not seen the church in Ulm, but the cathedral in Cologne is massive. I remember driving towards the city on a clear day and you could easily see the spires from very far away. The 500+ stairs to the top are definitely a calf-buster. It is extremely tempting to book a European vacation this summer with the euro seemingly in a downward spiral.

  3. Agree with your views on the mistake fare this week. I saw it right away but all I could find was the old crappy side-by-side BIZ seats. Sorry but I’m not sure if they could pay me $452 to travel in glorified worn-out economy plus seats for a 15 hour trip around the world to a place that I have no interest in visiting. I’ll use my 3 weeks of vacation time per year to visit the places I want to go thank you. However, I see why it would be a big win for some folks though (chasing status, flexible schedule, bragging rights, etc).

    1. I agree. I think bragging rights is a big factor. When one posts it…it can spread like wildfire and people may feel left out if they don’t get in on it. I thought this was one that spread like wildfire that it just did not deserve…And sometimes I wonder if some people have an actual life lol.

    2. You mean the one whole day Frequent Miler gets to spend in China isn’t worth 30 hours in a crap seat travelling by himself?

Wonders never cease. But I guess it’s worth it to FM – good for a series of filler posts how mileage running isn’t dead and how status is still “worth it”.

  4. Has anyone met Gary in real life and can confirm he is a creep? He, yet again, has posted a totally irrelevant story but it involves sex so post away. Why do I even have his blog in feedly? I can’t remember the last time he posted something worth reading.

  5. I think the mistake fare thing was interesting also. I didn’t go for it as I didn’t like the birds AA flies, have no desire to go back to China and couldn’t find dates that allowed me two weeks to be in Asia other then China. I only will jump on mistake fares if I can make a vacation out of it and it is to somewhere I have an interest in going to. Otherwise, I pass.
