Well, I looked around to see what credit cards we can get and since I have been around the block and I still have more miles I can burn in the near future I am just…underwhelmed about the possibilities out there. I guess we could go for the British Airways Visa cards again but we have so many BA Avios in the bank. The rest, due to the new realities restrictions by Chase and Amex and our card history just does not leave much out there in the minimum 50k miles/points cards category. #yawn
Bunch of bloggers, in their never ending efforts to sell more plastic using direct affiliate bank links, kept lying to their readers pumping the Citi Hilton Visa 75k card. Stuff like “last chance”, “ends tomorrow”. Well, bullshit as always. Points For Later wrote a post rant about “Conflicts of Interest in Blogging” and shows you very clearly the case about this card! And now this will lead to more frantic blog posts that it is indeed “ending” and “last chance” for at least one more month! I don’t know about you but I absolutely despise being sold and run the other direction! Or, even better, use the links from bloggers who respect you and your time more? #THINK
Yesterday was a very boring day in the miles/points world…
I mean, when you lead with news about Best Western points you know it is super slow lol. More details are out: Best Western Rewards 2016 Program Changes – Moving to dynamic award night pricing, changes to elite levels and no more expiration by Frequent Flyer Bonuses. Another nail in The Hobby. No big deal but…just adds to the sinking feeling. This is very Hilton like move when you never really know how many points a night will cost and instead have to settle for a wide range. It’s like doing your taxes by hand! #gasp

My wife and I each applied and were approved for the 100k BA offer through your link. That was a week ago yesterday.
