He never reads me and has attacked me before (as many others). I could care less actually. But I do recognize he has some knowledge in this stuff, a lot more than others…

Is your favorite Titan blogger suddenly so eager to get you to buy miles or points? Maybe this is why? 10% commissions always get the attention of online marketers. Here is some advice: Do NOT buy them! And tell them to stick it since they are so entirely transparent about doing this #barf.

Ok, Don’t ever knock cat pictures….next up, sent a tweet about Radisson in Vienna..good hotel, great location…and booking a trip in May to Israel, Tunisia, Malta and Rome….any recommendations on Jerusalem would be appreciated….and Finally, going to my first Do in Ann Arbor in July. It was a choice between FTU in Washington or Ann Arbor. Did I pick the right one? 😉

I’m trying to remember some details on my trips — I am supposed to rent a car to drive from SD to LAX as the most expedient way to get there, rather than flying. I guess by the time you arrive at the airport early and so forth, then change airlines and hope your bags don’t get lost, etc.
The other one is from San Diego to Denver. I think Southwest doesn’t have a baggage transferring agreement with the other airline, United/Lufthansa, which is another complication. So again I’ll be driving to LAX from SD to get started.
What made me think of this was the Alaska/Virgin article. It mentioned a bigger footprint for Alaska and I was trying to figure out if it would change anything. I suppose it wouldn’t happen in the short term in any case and my trips are in May and August.

How do you go Vendoming as a family of 4 in Europe/Asia?
I don’t want to book 2 rooms a Conrad Tokyo. My children are not worth that much.
In Kazakhstan I could probably smuggle in the smallest one, but that will be very challenging in Tokyo.
Family of four, never got a second room. Now with one in college, it is EASY 🙂
The Radisson Blu Budapest has a nice location. You’re not in the absolute prime center of downtown, but about a 15 minute walk away. This saves you money, although Budapest is not an expensive city. You have good dining, shopping, and public transportation nearby. My wife and I went with another couple last year and all agreed that we’d gladly visit again. At 12,000 points a night, it’s really tough to argue with the price as well.
We stayed at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel in Brussels a couple of years ago during the Ommegang festival (coincidence). The hotel is very well located for central Brussels (Down the street, through the Covered passage and you exit at the entrance to the Grand Place.) It is within walking distance of the Central Station. As a gold member, we were given cookies as a welcome gift and had a slightly better standard room, but no upgrade to another category. This could be because of the festival – hotels rooms were no completely booked, but were very pricey.
The hotel looks like the professional photos. Because of the location, I would definitely stay here again. However, I feel that 50,000 points for this hotel is overpriced – unless you are sitting on a pile of points.
