The Top 25 Credit Cards via Mile Nerd. The hobby starts here!

If you can park $5,000 in a business checking account at Huntington Bank in select states (OH, MI, IN, PA, KY, WV), they ‘ll give you $500. I can’t do it…as they gave me $750 some months ago and just closed the account. Beware, you must close the account in person inside a branch, you can NOT do it online or over the phone. Hey, while at it, you can park another $5k in a business checking account at Fifth Third Bank and get $400. Always read the fine print. Time to move on…

Highest offers for two Amex Hilton cards. My links do not have them #blows. Then again, once in a lifetime for the bonus so…not many here who have not had them.

This photographer was travelling to Sertar County in China when he visited the local Buddhist Insititute and snapped this picture of a monk walking by.

Awesome piece on the evolution of roller coasters! My favorite is the Top Thrill Dragster in Cedar Point pictured below:

The peak achievement at Cedar Point came in 2003 with Top Thrill Dragster. At 420 feet tall, it was the first ride to surpass the 400-foot mark. Designed in the image of a drag-racer, it hits a top speed of 120 mph at takeoff.

More pics on what it’s like flying a private jet

The G550's spacious cabin can seat up to 19 passengers or offer sleeping accommodations for up to eight. But our plane was set up to sit about 13 passengers in three different sections.

Sadly, son was not approved for the Sapphire Reserve card. Reasons given were: 1) Few revolving accounts opened long enough to establish credit history and 2) Not enough time has passed since your last account with us was opened. Darn it, it was applied for about a month after the Sapphire Preferred; if only we had known this 100k point baby would be out…I think he would have a great shot at it. Oh well. Going back to just building that history with the Discover for Students, the AA Platinum card and the CSP. His credit score of 770 sure did not help. It’s not like we are lacking in miles/points…

And I leave you with this…

  1. In Paris, looking for Kim’s ring.

Easier than finding her brain-$10 million of jewels and no security. Wow.

  2. Wait a minute…. wasn’t the CSR targetted at millenials? Why deny a perfectly fine millenial? Is it because he hasn’t groomed a beard and doesn’t live on kale quinoa vegan nourishment??

    1. did you make believe you were your son with the Chase Rep? I am sure he didn’t notice that you sound like an old goat

  3. For the CSR, I suspect it’s a combination of income and credit score.

Keep in mind that the CSR is an Visa Infinite card (10k minimum credit line). Chase tends to be conservative in their maximum exposure.

This is based on 2 datapoints (so please prove me wrong if I am), based on my experience and SO, our maximum credit limit with Chase seems to be ~1/3 of annual income stated.

    1. From the time of applying, my credit limit with Chase is about 55% of income stated without including the ink bold limit of $10k. I haven’t even bothered with the CSR (I think could only make it if the rules were closer to 27/24)

      1. I think the income is paramount. And correct on the 10k. He barely has that now…and not enough time. Need to keep using all 3 cards and paying them off…every month. Not sure what to do now…don’t want to go 5/24 so fast and nothing else is a MUST have now….decisions, decisions….Will deal with it after I return from my trip.

  4. Recently read a study on kidney stones — I think from one of the Michigan universities. Conclusion is that if you suffer, as I do, from kidney stones, ride a roller coaster!

And I grew up riding the Giant Dipper in Belmont Park (SAN). Still one of my favorite rides tho tame compared to anything at Cedar Point.
