2017 Detroit Auto Show Press Day With Amex Platinum Private Events

We spent Press Day in the Detroit North American International Auto Show as part of an Amex private event. Here is the first edition that took place in the Detroit MGM casino and it was full of luxury cars and eating/drinking with Wolfgang Puck and more.

This was my first time attending Press Day in our very own North American International Auto Show in Detroit’s Cobo Hall. I always wanted to do it so I can say, well, I did it! It was a fun day and we made sure we were fed and dehydrated the whole time we were there! I was expecting lots of swag but was disappointed in that department. I will let the pictures do most of the talking…

Each major car manufacturer had a place set up for media to hang out, have some food and drinks, talk and interview executives, etc. We stopped at, well, most of them.

  1. Reporting in from Paris, and that makes me first. Things seeming fairly normal business as usual here on the ground. Not looking forward to how this will be spun at home. I was about to leave to take a day trip and decided to instead turn on local media to get the local take.

    1. What are you talking about, local take?

Be sure to visit some of the museums before you leave. I like the Louve much more than the Pompidou, don’t miss it.

      1. Just saw the news at the Louve, maybe you should go tomorrow instead.

How is it spun here you ask….CNN ignores it for the most part, just another crazy dude doing his thing no terror threat and the Washington Post blames it on a guy upset with Trump’s hair treatments.

      2. I have been to Paris about a dozen times and the Louvre at least half a dozen. It’s closed until tomorrow. I have more obscure things to do while here. When I go to a city multiple times, I stay in different neighborhoods and dig deeper and take day trips. CNN International has been covering it here, of course. I speak French so my point was that the local take is what the French media are saying in France about an attack in France.

          1. Rue ST. Denis has the best looking Woman of the Night, The Pigalle is over priced and over aged.

    1. There is nothing left to write about. All that is left are recaps of other blogs recaps, class action lawsuits we can all apply for… if we lie and of course, say what number comment we are on TBB. Maybe it is time to take up knitting or start building ant farms.
