AA Lounges, Cartagena, Best Hotels for Business Travelers

We learn of American Airlines upgrading its lounges, visit Cartagena, learn of the best hotels for business travelers and lots more!

The worthy news in the miles & points world have slowed down big time. I mean, when I only have the news of AA improving their lounges to feature here you know things are just drying up big time. Of course the pumping bloggers will keep trying to sell to their readers the same credit cards faking excitement and just bringing inconsequential news hoping to generate some clicks (two passengers whose flight was cancelled were booked into an S&M dungeon suite, wow, really, news, shaking my head).

Got up at 5 am for YOU, so here are a few more:

Cartagena, Colombia. An AFAR travel guide. My brother (who lives in Brazil) keeps telling me I gotta go there, it is a must see. It looks nice but out of so many places I want to see it just doesn’t make it anywhere near the top of the list. Any comments from someone who has been there?

A chocolate lover’s travel guide. Mmmm, you know you want it. You can get a chocolate body wrap in a spa in Chicago, say what? If I was MMS I would drop a dozen affiliate credit card links right NOW! But I am not.

This blog is morphing into a curated corner of the best stuff that impresses me from around the web that, always, entertains, educates and sometimes inspires. Slowly. Actually, I have no idea why I am even here! I guess I like having a voice and expressing myself. And I like interacting you with all. I also like the few haters as well, we are like a family lol.

This is a great piece on the Iraq War:  America’s unlearned lesson: the forgotten truth about why we invaded Iraq.

Your personal finance fix of the day: A Dozen Things you can learn from the Anti-Models that are Bernard Madoff and his Victims. A must read imho. I hope POS Bernie gets hurt in jail…

Ok, Iraq war and Madoff….lets turn positive now because you just can’t go any lower!

As far as the eye can see. Awesome pictures of Jakob Wagner, check out his amazing Aerialscapes collection.

MILES BUZZ

The comments got into a heated discussion yesterday about bloggers and their fundamental conflict of interest against preserving any deals…and stuff like that, enjoy!

An update on Marathon Man and Mileage Update. Must read!

Sometimes, I let loose on Twitter. I express myself and think about it later. You know, like book and ask questions later lol.

It is entertainment folks. Please satirize TBB so we can all laugh as well! Like I do the following:

TPG: Dude, you have staff and now do TED Talks too!

FTG: Where the selling never ever stops

MV: Where the Citibank links are pumped to infinity.

MMS: CSP card is always the best!

It’s only going to get tougher with this company too…We are being hit from all directions!

And never ever let this happen to you!  ——> Click NOT safe for work! Contains large body part. Unbelievable to be so drunk to let this happen, wow!

And I leave you with this…

  1. You see? I can’t even get a reliable second.

Buzz-Should I turn the lights down or are you going to hang around a while?

    1. Nothing is certain around here…until you hit refresh!

Will likely hang around for a while…until the chase 5/24 rule goes into effect for all cards and then I ‘ll just hang it up,….along with many other bloggers 🙂

  2. The Belmond Copacabana Palace is located minutes away from the city’s business center, as well as its Ipanema and Leblon districts.

Hahahaha… many, many, many “minutes” away from the business district (which is either Lagoa, Botafogo, Centro, or Barra, depending on your business interests), depending on traffic.

    1. In fairness, they didn’t say how many minutes. And it’s not that bad on metro… if you make it there without getting mugged, LOL!

Honestly, I can’t imagine a more distracting area for a business traveler. 🙂

  3. I, too, am interested in learning about Cartegena and Colombia in general. I have yet to visit South America and I was eyeing Bolivia, but Colombia may rise on my to-visit list.

Thanks for the Chocolate travel bucket list. Going to share that with all my chocolate lovers. Hershey Park is only a couple hours drive up and I think it’s a solid theme park to go to.

    1. I’ve heard that Cartagena is similar to Benidorm. But without the Brits, so I can understand why your brother likes it!

        1. It’s a beautiful city, I don’t really classify it as a must see (unless maybe your in Colombia already). I think taking a yacht through the San Blas islands to Panama City is a pretty cool experience though (obviously starting in Cartagena) and it’s something I’d do again.

  4. AWESOME gif!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing it here….I am still laughing!

I may share it with the blog subscribers….when I find time to send an email to them other than the blog posts!
