If you are into Disney you should be interested, click HERE. I believe there will be another conference on April 23, 2016 in Orlando.

Bunch of deals roundup at Doctor of Credit.

Interesting detailed post on how PointsCentric funded a new CitiSavingsPlus account with a credit card.

Every once in a while I take a peak at PointsBuzz to scan the headlines. It is mostly Titans and I am not sure how I feel having my own spot there 🙂 Not sure if anyone maintains it anymore but the RSS feeds do work so it may save some readers some time.

19 things to know before you go to Sydney   I saved it into my Evernote…one day.

A history of insane art prices. Total insanity! Remember, when you blow the dough, do it with a travel rewards credit card you first get here #smooooooth

A village in Argentina was submerged in water 30 years ago and now…it is back! #awkward

The town was evacuated, and most residents never returned. The water levels continued to rise for years, reaching a peak of 33 feet in 1993.

      1. Yes, good read, and a good reminder. I am not in that threshold, but good to remember. Most of my stuff is index funds, MLPs are under 3% of total portfolio.

        Cheers,

        PedroNY

    1. Still banned from this activity at Citi?
If you did it again, how often would you open up a new account?

      1. Definitely still banned as of 2014… I think my SS# must be flagged. That being said, the bank department apparently does not talk to credit card department, so that didn’t stop CC churning. Also Mrs. PedroNY has been part of the game with Citi online savings accounts, but only about once or twice a year, but still going strong, so we don’t plan to add any more velocity to it, it is working out so no need to mess with it and get her banned. Citi cards really do work best to fund Citi cards, never had a single snag, IMHO. So if you get $30,000 CC lines on a couple of Citi cards, consolidate them, and push through ~$50,000 each time you fund, it works out nicely. Extra tip, call in for a retention offer, they may give you 3x miles for $5,000 spending, so you pick up extra 10,000 miles or TY points when you fun, just a bit of extra gravy!

Probably could have written a post on this for you, George. So many fun ways to earn miles and points… I think we are still in the golden age, no doubt! But of course, I am an optimist…

        Cheers,

        PedroNY

          1. That was 6 1/5 years ago!!! Back at that time, it was a labor of love, no CC links, not sold yet, etc. I actually read his blog, and enjoyed it.

I stopped reading Richard’s site about 4 years ago, it was just a blast from the past, as this been a long time golden goose.

  1. Thanks for the shout-out, George! I’ll break the news here to non-alumni: FT4RL 4 is indeed April 23rd at the Hyatt Place Orlando Airport. Tickets go on sale to the public at Noon- I’ll have a post up on The Deal Mommy.

Haley is our first confirmed speaker because, well, Orlando!

  2. Buzz, did you read DansDeals travel ordeal in today’s blog? I did not leave a message there as the poor guy was pretty roughed up………the moral of the back story, do not give the agent you are handing your bags to a rough time or they will be retagged for some far off distant place. I have heard agents talk about this is the back room behind the counter several times. Same goes for Skycaps (plane or cruise ship), Always Tip if you want to see your bags again in 1 piece…..

  3. Does anyone understand TPOL and how he got on BoardingArea? Seems like just a forum to complain and show off his “trips heard round the world”.

  4. Hey George,

John from PointsBuzz here. Just wanted to say thanks for the mention. You have a great site that readers seem to value. Glad to add you to our site.
